First things first, I am sure you have noticed the image posted above the text you are currently reading. Two weeks from now, My Place Pizza will be hosting a show Friday and Saturday night featuring some very awesome local punk, hardcore and indie bands.
Friday night will bring two of my personal hometown favorites, Giant Science and Living Laser. If you dig thrashy, in-your-face punk then YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS! The next night bills Citizen Kraang, T.V. Champs and yours truly of Sif Rhippus, promising an equally killer show. So when Friday comes around, if you're looking for something to do that's a little different then what most of your friends are doing, drop by and support the local music scene. If anything, you will leave that night having experienced the heart of true passion. Come get your face melted!

By the way, over the weekend I had the chance to see an awesome show @ Collin's Ale House in Stormville. Citizen Kraang opened it up with a BANG plus I had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Strike Our Chords, who gave me a free CD! They ripped it up on Saturday so I'm definitely looking forward to running into those guys in the near future. Anyway, if I had to make some art with 23 people and $30, it might go something like this: we could either find or buy a pair of scissors and a bunch of glue sticks, then cut up the rest of the money to make a creative anti-capitalist collage to teach kids. It's edgy because of the defiance in the art and act itself, right? Get it? Whatever.
